1965 left a wonderful legacy to SACS - 3 Rhodes Scholars, 2 Yale Scholars, 1 Spectemur Agendo Award  and 2 much loved teachers; Simon Perkin and Geoff Olivier. Contact Keith Elkin 072 112 3532 or  021 683 7022.

SACS Rugby Pavilion

SACS is raising funds to help build a rugby pavilion. We were approached by the school to help get this campaign off the ground. In the flyer, the first of many planned communications, you will read how we are asking old boys, parents and general lovers of the school to return to the campus and “take their seat”. The key to funding the pavilion, which will be used by old boys, parents and teachers alike in future, is the once-off donation of R20k, which allows you to place your name on the donor board. This donation qualifies for a tax refund up to 41%. Thus the effective cost is about R11k.

Please will you give this plea for help some thought? If that is the case please forward this onto them. A video highlighting the initiative - http://youtu.be/xN4cD3Krfek. It was made by the boys and highlights our current head boy (current first team prop). The video is bound to pull on the heart strings. So if you know of very successful old boys who are prepared to make bigger donations please forward it onto them as well.

Tribute to Lionel Cohen ('33)

Lionel George Cohen, had rich and long life. It was as rich as it was long, and he passed away having reached his century... which is a fitting paradigm for someone who was such a passionate cricketer in his early years.

SACS Old Boys' Golf Day Report

On a perfect early Autumn day, 22 Old Boy (and friends) Four-Balls teed off at the Westlake Golf Club. Clear Blue skies and very little South Easter to contend with, we hoped for some long hitting from the tees and good clean chips as well as the possibility of a Hole-in-one.
