SACS High School - Take your Seat Fundraising Initiative

The fundraising committee for the Take your Seat campaign have set the end of March as deadline for the raising the money for the first of the capital projects, which is the Spectator Stand and functions pavilion. I think we all agree that the seating compared to our rival schools is not adequate. The functions venue will also be used by Old Boys for the after match functions, school events and dinners, plus as an assembly venue for one of the day boy houses. At present we have raised R1.2 Million Rand and the school through the Building and Development Fund, will contribute R3.5 Million. We require R7 Million. We appeal to all Old Boys who are in a position to help keep SACS competitive with our rival schools in terms of facilities, to please consider a donation. Details of various ways in which to donate, please follow this link - http://sacsrugby.com/projects/ - you will also find a list of those individuals and families who have kindly donated to the fund.

SACS Rugby Pavilion

SACS is raising funds to help build a rugby pavilion. We were approached by the school to help get this campaign off the ground. In the flyer, the first of many planned communications, you will read how we are asking old boys, parents and general lovers of the school to return to the campus and “take their seat”. The key to funding the pavilion, which will be used by old boys, parents and teachers alike in future, is the once-off donation of R20k, which allows you to place your name on the donor board. This donation qualifies for a tax refund up to 41%. Thus the effective cost is about R11k.

Please will you give this plea for help some thought? If that is the case please forward this onto them. A video highlighting the initiative - http://youtu.be/xN4cD3Krfek. It was made by the boys and highlights our current head boy (current first team prop). The video is bound to pull on the heart strings. So if you know of very successful old boys who are prepared to make bigger donations please forward it onto them as well.
