Signing off on the successful Triangular Challenge 3
- SACS / Rondebosch / Bishops - OBU Sailing Regatta at
the Royal Perth Yacht Club, on Thursday 26th April 2007.

Bishops Old Boys on the River Swan, Perth
It is pleasing to report that your SACS Crew was successful
this year, in regaining the Tri Challenge Trophy &
in holding off a determined challenge (well thats
what I believed it was, in the somewhat gloomy evening
sailing conditions!) from a combined RBHS / BISHOPS crewed
yacht thanks largely to the skilful positioning
by our skipper Des Lord of our yacht in just the right
spot at the start of the regatta & then in keeping
us ahead throughout the race. Well done to Des & to
Ian Calvert too who expertly trimmed the sails & kept
the rest of the crew on their toes & also to our OBU
visitor from Sydney, Howard Davy, who was the self - proclaimed
unbiased match race official(!?); & the evenings
official photographer.
A big thank you to our stalwart Des Lord who again organised
all things nautical & to all the others who participated
to the crew + spectators + supporters & also
to those who expressed their support but were unable to
make it down to the RPYC on the night it was a
very pleasant evening, sharing good fellowship with representatives
from our 3 respective Alma Maters & was thoroughly
enjoyed by all.
See you all at the Tri Challenge 4 Regatta next
year!
